FAQs

What to Expect

  • You booking is a 2-hour session. Arrive at the studio, choose your materials, grab a tea or coffee, and create at your own pace.

There’s no formal teaching and no pressure to make anything “good.”

Some people paint quietly with headphones on, others chat with friends, experiment with different materials, or simply enjoy having two hours away from screens and everyday stress.

And if you’re unsure where to start, don’t worry, our hosts are always there to gently guide you.

  • Not at all. Imperfect Art was created for beginners and people who “aren’t creative”, our sessions are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and pressure-free.

  • Not really, and that’s kind of the point.

Imperfect Art is designed to feel more like a creative third space than a traditional class.

We offer relaxed, self-guided sessions in our art café where you can experiment freely without pressure or expectations.

We do also host guided workshops for people who’d like a little more structure, but the focus is always on creativity, play, and enjoyment rather than technical perfection.

  • Absolutely, a lot of people do! Imperfect Art is designed to be a safe and welcoming space to unwind solo, meet new people, or bring a friend.

  • Sessions are 14+ (under 18s must come with a parent/guardian).

For younger groups, private creative events are an option. However, due to the setup of our space, we recommend sessions for ages 9+. Younger children may find the environment challenging, so please use your judgement when booking.

  • Yes! We’re a pet-friendly studio, well-behaved dogs are very welcome. (We’ve had a few four-legged visitors who stole the show.)

  • Unfortunately, we are in a building that is an older structure and does not have step-free access or an elevator. Our studio is on the second floor, accessible only by stairs.
