What is an art café?

An art café is a relaxed space where anyone can come and make art. We offer three ways to get creative.

Art Café Sessions

A free-flow and self-guided session at our art café where you’ll have access to our art supplies. Choose your materials and start creating. There’s no agenda. Unlimited tea and biscuits provided. Specialty materials are available as optional upgrades for an additional cost.

A guided workshops centred around a theme or medium, from watercolour, clay, tote-painting, to lino printing, and more.

You’ll learn a range of techniques to help you explore a in a relaxed space, with all materials (and biscuits) provided.

Between work and home, Imperfect Art is somewhere to slow down. Come as you are, stay as long as your slot allows, and leave feeling lighter. Step away from the noise, and give your hands and minds something to do.

Our focus isn’t on the outcome, but on how you feel while you make it. The best thing you'll take home isn't always what you made. It's the time you spent off your phone, in your own head, making something with your hands.

Beginners are more than welcome

You don’t need to be an artist or “good enough” to come here. We believe everyone needs a creative outlet, no matter their experience with art.

No such thing as a mistake here

That wobbly line, unexpected colour, or happy accident? That's just your style emerging. We’re non-judgemental and non-competitive.

How an art café sessions works

Step 1

Book your experience

Book an art café session at one of our London studios where you’ll have 2 hours to create freely. No need to bring anything.

Step 2

Arrive & settle in

Your host will welcome you in, show you around, and bring you tea/coffee and biscuits to make you feel at home.

Step 3

Choose your medium

Supplies for watercolour, charcoal, and pastels are included or upgrade with add-ons. Browse our art books for inspiration.

Step 4

Create freely

This is where the magic happens. You can experiment freely, mix mediums, change your mind halfway through, or start again.

Step 5

Relax & unwind

Some people chat, some people quietly focus, some people forget to check their phones for two whole hours. And that’s the beauty of it!

Step 6

Take your masterpiece home

Leave with your piece and a relaxed mind. Feel proud to have made something with your hands and without pressure.
