Our Angel studio is a cosy, intimate space designed for a slower, more personal creative experience. It's a gentler kind of studio, quiet and welcoming, whoever you bring along.
Your seat comes with unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits, puzzles, games and colouring sheets. Choose an activity from the art menu, or bring your own project and supplies. No experience needed, just show up.
Choose an activity
Grab a seat, then add what you'd like to make from the art menu. All-in (watercolour, oil pastels, soft pastels and charcoal) is the most popular, or pick a painting or crafting project. Bring your own supplies if you'd rather.
Tea & biscuits
Hot drinks and biscuits included with every session. Help yourself throughout.
Good for your mind
Creative activity reduces stress and quiets anxiety. The benefit comes from making, not from being good at it.
Angel studio: your questions
How much does a session at Angel cost?
A seat at Angel is £11 for Thursday and Friday sessions starting before 5pm, and £17 at all other times, for two hours with unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits. Then choose an activity from the art menu, added to your seat price: drawing and painting mediums from £3 (the £7 All-in is the most popular), painting and crafting projects from £3 to £29. Students and NHS staff get 10% off the seat price with valid ID.
Do you run creative workshops at Angel?
Yes. We run guided workshops at Angel such as watercolour, lino printing and clay, from £35 per person with all materials included. See the workshops page for upcoming dates.
How do I find the Angel studio?
The studio is at Studio 2B, 5 Torrens Street, London EC1V 1NQ, a 2 minute walk from Angel station (Northern line). Ring the bell for Imperfect Art and walk up to the 2nd floor. Watch our short video on how to find the Angel studio.
Is the Angel studio accessible?
The studio is up two flights of stairs and there is no lift, so it is not wheelchair accessible. Assistance dogs are always welcome. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too. If you have any questions, email us before you book.
Can I book a private event at Angel?
Yes. Private hire of the Angel studio starts from £360 for up to 15 people, with a host and all materials included.
Peckham Studio
Our Peckham studio in the Bussey Building is spacious and bright, great for larger groups. 5 minutes from Peckham Rye station.
